What does your role involve?
As an estimator, my job is to tender for new projects across new build and refurbishment. This involves reading and understanding bill of quantities and drawings, takeoffs, and attending site visits. I build new connections with subcontractors and make sure deadlines are met. I also meet with the operations and commercial managers to discuss strategies for procurement.
What’s your background?
I’m an Italian civil engineer. My career in London started with me working for a small building company, specialising in high-end refurbishment around central London. I then moved to a big company, known in the industry for social housing, where I was working as an estimator for residential, commercial, and fit out projects. I had a little break to raise my children, and now I’m ready to get back to it!
What are you enjoying most so far about your role?
I love the fact that every single day I’m learning something new – and I’m very keen for that to continue!

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I like to spend time in nature, walking or swimming. I also love to read a good book.
If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Friendly, chatty and loyal.
