With winter fast approaching and the weather getting significantly colder, Elkins’ site team at Kingswood Estate is pleased to be supporting this year’s ‘Take One Leave One’ charity initiative.
This national campaign invites members of the public to leave their winter coats in a designated location for anyone in need to take. Having started back in 2020 with just one coat rail in Exmouth market, the initiative has proven so successful that is has run every year since. Over the last couple of years during the pandemic, the campaign has encouraged members of the public to participate by setting up coat rails in their local neighbourhoods.
Our Kingswood site team – consisting of Site Manager, Paul Constable, Assistant Contracts Manager, Richard Wheate and Apprentice RLO, Daisy Palmer – were keen to get involved in this year’s charity campaign and had just the tools to facilitate it. They created their own ‘coat rail’ by attaching coat pegs to our site hoarding, and even built a canopy to keep the coats dry!
Elkins Construction is also getting involved in the initiative in other ways – by collecting donations from our employees and encouraging the Kingswood residents to donate via newsletters and posters that have been distributed on and around the estate.
