Elkins is delighted to have been involved in another fantastic community initiative to benefit the residents at Kingswood Estate, where we are currently working on site as part of our partnering contract with Southwark Council.
The Great North Wood Collective is running a creative workshop for young people to design and paint a mural for Kingswood Estate. In preparation for this, Elkins installed some temporary hoarding boards for the workshop attendees to decorate, which will be relocated to the mural’s final location on the side of one of the estate’s buildings.
The murals are being painted over a series of workshops offering young people the opportunity to create a lasting piece of artwork that will be on display in their local community. As you can see from the progress images below, the finished design is sure to brighten up the surrounding area.
We are pleased to have been able to work with the workshop organisers, The Great North Wood Collective, on this project. The charity carries out wonderful initiatives in Crystal Palace, bringing people together to produce high quality arts, heritage and cultural events, and engaging the community in activities that support their creativity and wellbeing.
