Elkins has proudly supported the City of London Academy Southwark Pride basketball team for over 10 years and is delighted to continue our partnership with a donation of £3,500 to provide new team kits for the Pride players.
The academy offers a fantastic opportunity for young people from a diverse range of backgrounds to take part in a safe community activity that promotes teamwork and a healthy lifestyle. As one of only 16 schools in England and Wales to run the Basketball England accredited AASE programme, CoLA Southwark gives students the chance to play to the highest standards in the Elite Academy Basketball League, with 20 hours of practice and training alongside their academic timetable.
The club has produced a number of top players and sent students on scholarships to leading American universities, including Wake Forest in North Carolina, California’s Santa Clara University and Wagner College in New York.
